No
matter what time of year it is, Spain is a great place for your holidays and
an even greater place to live. I personally, have lived in Spain for ten years
and I would find it hard to move back to the UK.
Spain has a relaxed view to everything. There is no immigration problem because there is no Social Security i.e. no handouts. There is no problem with petty "Elf And Safety" issues.
The young Spanish, from their early teens are involved with fundraising and organising "Fiesta", the local parties that every town has thrughout the year. This gives them pride in their village/town and although they like a drink or two, I have never witnessed bad behaviour from them in all the time I have been here.

Spain: Short History
Spain's
powerful world empire of the 16th and 17th centuries ultimately yielded command
of the seas to England. Subsequent failure to embrace the mercantile and industrial
revolutions caused the country to fall behind Britain, France, and Germany in
economic and political power. Spain remained neutral in World Wars I and II
but suffered through a devastating civil war (1936-39).
A peaceful transition to democracy following the death of dictator Francisco FRANCO in 1975, and rapid economic modernization (Spain joined the EU in 1986) have given Spain one of the most dynamic economies in Europe and made it a global champion of freedom. Continuing challenges include Basque Fatherland and Liberty (ETA) terrorism, immigration, and slowing economic growth.
Costa Blanca Holiday Regions
The Costa Blanca (White Coast) starts at Valencia, Spains third largest relatively
unexplored city by tourists, and continues South towards Alicante. The route
South is interspersed with fishing harbours and holiday resorts which, until
you reach Denia are known chiefly to Spanish and other Northern European tourists.
However from Denia down to beyond Alicante you will find many towns some with
character and style and others not so sophisticated.
You will pass through and maybe linger a while in towns like Javea, Moraira, Calpe, Altea, Albir and Benidorm, one of the worlds leading tourists resorts. Benidorm’s success began in the 1960’s when this, once modest fishing village was transformed into an international holiday centre. Whilst all the unique differences which collectively go to make up Spain may not find universal attraction, most people become quickly endeared to a significant majority of them. This is particularly true on the Costa Blanca!
Frank Evans - British Bullfighter! Spain
The
number of British matadors who have stood in front of a bull can be counted
on three fingers. The first was the ex-public schoolboy, Vincent Hitchcock who
fought during the 1950's.
During the '60's Henry Higgins had a brief moment of fame, but none have had the staying power of Salford's Frank Evans, who fought his first bull at the age of seventeen in 1966 and, except for a period in the 70's, has worn the sparkling suite of lights every year since.
The
Costa Blanca & Majorca climate is perfect for both holidays in Spain and all
year round living.
The World Health Organisation has identified the Costa Blanca and Majorca Spain as having a near to an ideal climate as possible, not overly hot in summer nor too cold in the winter.
Temperatures range from the mid eighties (26-29C) in the summer to the low sixties (15C) in the winter. Even in the winter the average number of rainy days in Spain is only five per month.
Plenty to do. Holidays in the Costa Blanca Spain
The sun-baked Costa Blanca is a 170 mile stretch of white sandy blue flagged
beaches, bright blue skies, the sparkling Mediterranean on Spain's east coast,
centred on Alicante and running from Denia in the north to Mazarrón in the south.
It's a wonderful place for a holiday.
If
a fantastic Mediterranean environment was all the Costa Blanca had to offer,
it would be enough for most people. But in fact there's plenty more to attract
you. For a start, the high-rise town of Benidorm has its own attractions if
you are seeking entertainment on a large scale, but it isn't typical of the
Costa Blanca. Up and down the coast there's a huge variety of water sports on
offer, from dinghy sailing to kite-surfing. If that's not enough to keep the
family amused, there are plenty of other choices, from go-karting in Moraira,
quad bikes, golf, mountain climbing to the massive and thrilling Terra Mitica
water theme park. Or why not take a trip to Guadalest (pictured)
East
of Denia on the Costa Blanca are Spain's magnificent Balearic
Islands, which offer so much more than just the opportunity
to lounge on a Mediterranean beach. For families, Majorca
(also known as Mallorca) is a treat. And vacation property
rentals like Mallorca timeshares are a great alternative to traditional
hotels because they provide all the comforts of home combined
with the amenities of a world-class resort. In contrast, for
individuals seeking a vibrant, non-stop nightlife amidst a
Mediterranean climate, Ibiza timeshare provide a luxurious place to rest your head.
