This
self catering holiday apartment has the benefit of being close to
the town and beaches but is set in a quite residential area. There
are 2 bedrooms, 1 twin and 1 double. Large kitchen/dining room and
a comfortable lounge. The private pool is surrounded by well kept
gardens with many flowers and shrubs. A, BBQ room is situated near
the pool and is perfect for grilling fish or meat in the warmth of
the Spanish evenings. The two main beaches of Calpe are only 1km away,
they are sandy and soft. There are also alternative beaches along
this part of the coast, many are small, some are stony and they offer
you the choice of a more peaceful swim.

With
Benidorm less than thirty minutes away by car this adds a whole different
dimension for entertainment and activities for the younger generation.
Terra Mitica the latest cultural theme park is also a stones throw
from Benidorm's centre. The area is served by a local train service
running regularly between Denia to Alicante and is well worth a relaxing
trip. Daily markets are open along the coast providing a plentiful
array of articles from clothing to fresh vegetables. Most activities
are covered in the local English newspapers and radio which have their
own web sites.
Access to the fabulous scenic hinterland of the Costa Blanca and the
Jalon Valley with it's wine and varied restaurants are only thirty
minutes away.
If your interest is walking, the surrounding area is rich with many
great walks for the professional or beginner. I enjoy the walk around
the top of Bernia, the local mountain. A 4 hour walk which has you
crawling through a tunnel at the half way point. Great fun.
The main airport of Alicante is one hours drive. However, the alternative
Valencia airport is one and a half hours away and often provides cheaper
flights with less hassle. From either airport there is a very good
highway to the town of Calpe. The owners live above the apartment
but understand your need for privacy and will respect that.
