Availability
La Mansion is about 27 years old, but has been modernized recently
with the addition of a pool, Jacuzzi and pool terrace incorporating
2 waterfalls cascading into the pool. This is the second year that
the villa has been available for holiday letting and is very popular.
It is on a prime 1300 square metre terraced plot, a wonderful location,
close to the top of Pedramala's highest hill. The villa is south
facing, tucked into the hillside, being sheltered from wind while
having sun all day on the pool area. It has unbelievable panoramic
views of the sea and coastal strip from windows and terraces. The
villa is in a quiet area, the pool being completely secluded. The
villa and pool are on 2 levels. The
villa has 2 large double bedrooms (1 with a small balcony), 1 bathroom
and 1 shower room. There is a separate kitchen and a lounge opening
onto a large covered naya.

Pictures - Availability
Kitchen - On entering the villa, the kitchen is off the hall to
the right. The kitchen has cupboards, gas cooker, microwave, large
fridge freezer, washing machine, toaster, electric kettle and sink
unit.
Lounge/Diner - From the hall an arch leads to the lounge/dining
area. The dining area, seating 4, is in a corner of the room with
the TV at the opposite end. The furniture consists of a 4 seater
dining table, 4 dining chairs, one 3 seater sofa, one 2 seater sofa,
sideboard, coffee table and chair bed. A large wood burning stove
is situated between the dining area and TV area. A CD player is
present and satellite TV (BBC reception plus other channels). Rugs,
pictures and potted plants complement the furniture.
Naya - This is a large arched covered area off the lounge, part
of it under the villa roof but this leads to a 4 by 7 metre open
terrace that overlooks the pool. The sea views from this area are
spectacular, with Moraira and Calpe seen clearly, with the sea as
a background. These views that cannot be bettered anywhere on the
Costa Blanca. This area can be used for dining, table and 4 chairs
are present plus, a sofa plus 2 wicker easy chairsMain bedroom -
To the left of the lounge (looking to the sea), an arch leads to
the main bedroom. This room has a double bed is, bedside tables,
chest of drawers and a fitted wardrobe. A door opens on to a small
balcony with sea views. Rugs and pictures are present.No 2 Bedroom
-Close to the main bedroom is the second bedroom, as large as the
main bedroom but without a balcony. This room has 2 single beds.

Bathroom - Between the 2 bedrooms is the door to the main bathroom.
A bath/shower unit is fitted, double basin/mirror and toilet. Power
points present for hair dryer etc.
Shower room - Off the hall is a shower room with shower cubicle,
toilet and hand basin/mirror. Power point present for hair dryer
etc.
Occasional Bed - A Z-bed is available for a 5th person. Stored in
the main bedroom wardrobe. It can be set up in the lounge. A cupboard
with rail is available to serve as a wardrobe.Pool, Jacuzzi and
pool terrace
Gentle steps lead down to the pool and pool terrace which have been
recently constructed (early 2005). Designed by a local landscaping
specialist, this area is unique; having a 9 by 5 metre tiled pool
and Jacuzzi against a 4 metre rock face with 2 waterfalls cascading
from the top of the rock face to the pool. Surrounding the pool
is 60 metres of open terrace and 16 metres of covered terrace. Mature
trees and palms are present. The 4 boundaries of this area are formed
by the villa, pool rock face, continuation of rock face and 16 metres
of ballistrading with panoramic sea views! The area is totally secluded.
4 sun loungers are situated on this terrace plus table and chairs
under a stone arched naya (shaded) A pool shower is present.
The pool has an underwater light, illuminating the pool and waterfalls.
8 other lights are present around the terrace area. The waterfalls
can be started or stopped by means of a switch within the naya,
as can the Jacuzzi and pool light. All terrace tiles are non-slipOther
Terraced areas
There is a 5 by 5 metre terrace immediately outside of the villa
entrance, with a babeque installed. Table and chairs present. Above
the entrance terrace is an 8 by 5 metre graveled terrace.
The Drive and Parking Area
Access to the villa is via a 25 metre drive. At the top of the drive
is an optional area for parking (2 cars). The drive leads down to
the main parking area, large enough for 2 cars or to carry out a
3 point turn. This parking area is on the same level as the villa,
which is 15 metres away (though it is possible to drive right up
to the villa entrance)
The drive and parking areas are illuminated by a sensor activated
light plus 3 lights on a timer system
Boules area
There is a large terrace below the pool terrace (not tiled), for
playing boules and 'horseshoes'. Note - this area, and access to
it, is not child friendly. The banks are not fenced and drops of
2 metres are present!
Other
Water quality - is the best in the area and is drinkable. There
has never been a salt contamination problem (as there has been on
the coast). A cot and high chair are available (no charge)
Baby sitting - A service is available (nights only), on request,
for a small charge (6 euros per hour)
Tennis - A court is just 7 minutes drive away. 2 rackets plus balls
provided.
Walks - Detailed directions for local walks supplied
Security - A safe is in the villa for valuables.
Board games - A selection available Holidays
in and around Calpe
Pedramala,
though close to the coast, is an unspoiled tranquil area, with valleys
and hills, stepped with Moorish dry stone walls, only 10 minutes
walk away. Many walks are available close by, or, by driving inland
for 40 minutes the mountainous terrain can be explored. The theme
park 'Terra Mitica' is 40 minutes drive away. Guadalest (castle),
a popular tourist destination, is 40 minutes drive.
